10 Day Lolita Challenge Day 4

♥ 4 first vs latest comparisons of Lolita outfits

For today’s challenge I chose four dresses from my wardrobe and looked up the first and latest outfits I wore with them. Do I still like my first outfits? Has my style changed?
Let’s find out!

Candy Treat from Angelic Pretty.
Of course, we start with my first ever Lolita outfit! I wore my first Lolita outfit on my birthday in 2011. I was so excited to wear this beautiful style! I had curled my hair and even wore eyeliner for the first time (even though it was a little hard to see, haha)! I remember even back then I wished I could have combined my lavender Candy Treat jsk with lavender shoes, but I did’t have any, so pink was a good second option. I never went through a very embarrassing phase if I may say so, I still quite like this outfit! I remember feeling so
happy in it!
The last time I wore Candy Treat was so long ago! I went to meet up with some lovely German girls for food and shopping and I went with a fairly casual outfit, but to be honest: I still really like it! Everything matches really well and I like the use of small accessories. ♥
I really should wear Candy Treat sometime again…

Millefeuille jsk from Baby, the Stars Shine Bright.
Secondly, my first ever Lolita dress: this beautiful, fairly basic Millefeuille jsk. This dress is so versatile and honestly even quite comfortable! The first time I wore it was for a simple photoshoot I did with my mom. My outfit was really simple. But I actually like it because of its simplicity. This outfit can easily be worn for many occasions. Also: no bangs! I had forgotten to comb my fringe to the front, but honestly I like it. It’s refreshing, since even up until now 95% of the time I wear my fringe forward in Lolita.
I have to admit I’m cheating a bit for my latest outfit. I actually wore this dress also at the main event of Under the Sea, but since that outfit really felt like ‘Must Be Comfortable Must Also Represent The Fashion’ I kind of feel like it doesn’t count. So here we have this outfit instead. I wore it to the Japan Tag in 2015 in Germany. My friend Iris lent me her beautiful hat and gloves and I really felt like such a classy lady! I freaking loved that hat. ♥

Jewelry Jelly from Angelic Pretty.
Third up is Jewelry Jelly. Aaah, I remember when I received this dress. I got hit by a huge custom bill and couldn’t open the package until later that day because I was so upset. The dress in the end was totally worth it though: it’s one of my favourites. I wore this dress for the first time doing another photoshoot with my mom. My hair was so thick back then, wow. I really lost a lot of hair.
My latest outfit with this dress was back in London. Somehow my Jewelry Jelly outfits always end up looking a bit… the same? Maybe because I combine this dress with these socks a lot, haha! Nevertheless, Jewelry Jelly always looks cute and gives me a
magical girl feeling! ♥

Fantasic Dolly from Angelic Pretty.
And finally, my beautiful Fantasic Dolly. I picked this dress because 1) I love the last outfit I wore with it and 2) I don’t really like the first outfit I wore with it so that’s something fun to talk about.
I wore this dress to my first Fly Away Fashion (before they renamed it to Summer Tales Boutique) Tea Party. I had never been to the shop or any of their events and I had signed up for the outfit contest. I ended up being picked, but my outfit didn’t match the theme at all and barely anyone knew me back then, so it was a little daunting. So it’s not that I really dislike the outfit that much, but more the circumstances in which I wore it. Ah, but now it sounds like I didn’t have fun at all! I actually had a lot of fun and kept coming back to following Tea Parties!
The latest outfit I wore on the other hand I love! It’s probably mainly because of the hat… Yeah that’s definitely it. XD I hadn’t planned on wearing this hat at all, because I didn’t own it yet (duh), but it matched so perfectly it totally finished this outfit and I felt so elegant! ♥

Are you still proud of some of the earlier outfits you wore? What do you like about them? What would you change about them?

Thank you for reading! ~☆~

10 Day Lolita Challenge Day 3

♥ 3 Lolita pictures that inspire you

For today’s challenge I will talk about three pictures that in some way have inspired or still inspire me in Lolita. I had a bit of trouble with this one, since I have saved thousands of Lolita-related pictures onto my computer, but I ended up with these.

First we have these pictures of Lolita model Midori. Now I know I am cheating a bit, since these are two pictures and not one, but for some reason they are always connected in my mind. Midori is such a lovely model. Not only does she look really cute, she’s also really sweet in real life. She’s the epitome of Lolita to me and these two pictures of her are my favourites. On the left she’s wearing Unico in Bloomland, on the right Merry Sweet Castle. I think I like the left picture even more now that I think about it. When I met Midori at my first Baby, the Stars Shine Bright Tea Party in Paris, I had brought it printed along with me for her to sign. She was happily surprised I had brought a picture on my own accord for her! Also, the carousel might be the inspiration for the opening of all my YouTube videos!

This Angelic Pretty advertisement is always been one of my favourites. It features model Ryoko Kobayashi in adorable pink wigs sporting my first Dream Dress: Star Night Theatre. And look at her bare arms! I thought this dress was just the most beautiful I had ever seen and as I mentioned in Challenge Day 1, it was my first Angelic Pretty dress.
I love Angelic Pretty magazine advertisements. You see them less and less these days, but I have a whole folder of old ones on my computer. The work put into the background and styling is just so wonderful, they’re like pieces of art! ♥

I can’t really explain why, but I really like this picture. This is a backstage picture of the models for the 2016 Baby, the Stars Shine Bright fashion show. I reblogged this picture on Facebook with #squadgoals and let’s face it: this group is total squad goals! I think sharing Lolita fashion with friends is so much fun. Looking pretty yourself while looking at other pretty people. ♥

Are there any pictures that mean a lot to you? The reasons why can be endless!

My Birthday in Japan!

Hi everyone!
Today is a very special day for me, because it's my birthday! I have come at that point where I rather refer to myself as 'twenty-something' rather than my actual age, but a quick browsing through my blog will quickly reveal my true age, so I challenge you. ^^

Actually, I am not only celebrating my birthday today, but also my Six Year Lolita Anniversary! I considered myself a ‘true’ Lolita from the moment I wore my first coord, which was on my birthday, December 10th, in 2011! It was such a special day... And now six years have passed already! Time sure goes fast.

For three years I made a 'Lolita Year in Review' post for my birthday, but I decided not to do so this year. First of all because, although wonderfully exciting things have happened in my Lolita sphere, there weren't that many different ones. At least not enough to spend an entire review post on. Maybe you wouldn't expect it, because I got the chance to go to three very big events and I am more than grateful that I did! But outside of those events Lolita wasn't a big part of my life, because school took up most of my time. I would have to stretch those three events out and talk about them all over again. And frankly, that would just be boring, so I'll spare you and would like to kindly guide you to the special tags I created for these events: Barcelona and Omnia Vanitas, Paris and the Angelic Pretty Tea Party and London and Dream Masquerade Carnival.

And second of all, because as I mentioned in the introduction post for my 10 Day Lolita Challenge post, I am away on a trip! Maybe you guessed it already before, maybe the title of this post kind of gives it away (haha), but I am in Japan at the moment! As a child, I always dreamed of doing big and exciting things on my birthday after I would pass the age of children's parties. Last year I made that wish come true by spending my birthday in
Ooh La La Paris, this year I am spending this special day in Tokyo! ♥
I am writing this post beforehand, so you can imagine it's still almost hard to believe that such an amazing thing is going to happen! Am I really not dreaming~?
I have quite an exciting day planned out already with room for spontaneity as well, so keep an eye out on my blog for a big review!

See you soon and thank you for reading! ~☆~

10 Day Lolita Challenge Day 2

♥ 2 Tea Parties or events or meets that hold special memories to you

For today’s challenge I will talk about two events that I have fond memories of. For this challenge I didn’t have to think for long at all! I have been to many, many amazing events, meets and Tea Parties, but there are several that really stick out for me.

First of all, the Kawaii Event I attended in 2013. This event was one of the best events I ever attended for so many reasons! The event location was wonderful, the food was great, the two guests Misako Aoki and RinRin Doll were lovely, there was lots of time to meet them, the programme was entertaining, I wore an outfit I love up until this day, I met lots of lovely new people, the Tea Party was loads of fun, the evening part of the programme was even more fun and I got to experience it all with my best Lolita friend! I will always remember the Lolita Kawaii Event with a smile. ♥
If you want to read about it, here you can find the blogposts about the Tea Party and the Event Evening.

The second event I have fond memories of is Street Fashion Europe’s Under the Sea event. Even though I lived it through the eyes of an organiser (and ran around like crazy during the months before, the days of the event and the day after) I had so much fun! Not to mention the incredible feeling of pride I felt: I had helped organising this, this was partially thanks to my doing! I loved the location we had, the theme suited my country so much and everyone wore such stunning outfits to honour it and the line up of guests was not just incredible, but they were also incredibly kind. Just thinking back on sitting in my little corner with the technician taking care of the fashion shows makes me tear up in happiness.
It was amazing! ♥
Here is the link to the Main Event and to the Tea Party.

Are there any events that hold special memories to you? Maybe you met some of your best friends at a Tea Party? Or maybe you got to meet a special guest that meant a lot to you at an event? Or you just had tons of fun at your local meet?

10 Day Lolita Challenge Day 1

♥ 1 favourite Lolita brand and why

For the first day of this challenge I will talk about my favourite Lolita brand. I am sure it will come as no surprise that that is Angelic Pretty!
Angelic Pretty has been my favourite Lolita brand from the very beginning. I remember looking in awe at all the beautiful advertisements featuring the most beautiful dresses and prints. My first Dream Dress, before I started even thinking of a Lolita wishlist, was Star Night Theatre. I feel extremely lucky that my first Angelic Pretty dress was in fact Star Night Theatre.

Angelic Pretty has remained my favourite brand throughout my entire time of being a Lolita, even when my taste changed. It’s like Angelic Pretty evolved with me, or I evolved with Angelic Pretty. I fell in love with their over-the-top sweet themes and stayed for their more mature, elegant prints. Naturally I don’t like every single print or dress they ever released, but I sure like a whole lot of them!
So yeah, in short: Angelic Pretty is my favourite brand and I hope it will continue to be for a long time!

What is your favourite brand? Do you have a special reason for it to be your favourite? Has this brand always been your favourite or have you switched?

Thank you for reading! ~☆~

The 10 Day Lolita Challenge

Hi everyone!
It’s December already, which means 2017 is almost over! Sadly it’s not been a very good year for my blogging, as I have been incredibly busy with school and with life in general. This resulted in my blogpost count ending up rather low, so I decided to do something about that! I am taking a small break from my London posts (we're nearly there though, only two more to go) to make room for something else. For years I’ve been saying I want to do the 30 Day Lolita Challenge here on my blog, but somehow I just never got to it. Now 30 days is quite a lot, so I decided to make a mini version of this challenge: the 10 Day Lolita Challenge. For 10 days (or more, depending on how often you want to post) you answer a question about yourself as a Lolita, numbers going up the further you get. I picked some parts from other challenges and made some up by myself. Feel free to participate, whether on your blog or for example on Instagram!

These are the questions, or rather, components:

♥ 1 favourite Lolita brand and why
♥ 2 Tea Parties or events or meets that hold special memories to you
♥ 3 Lolita pictures that inspire you
♥ 4 first vs latest comparisons of Lolita outfits
♥ 5 songs that inspire you in Lolita
♥ 6 Lolita outfits you wore you really liked
♥ 7 items from your Lolita wishlist
♥ 8 facts about your Lolita wardrobe
♥ 9 favourite foods
♥ 10 random Lolita facts about you

Another reason I am taking a small break is because I will be gone on a trip! So I won't have time to finish my London posts right now, but I hope to finish them soon after I return, because I have new travel posts to write! I hope they will be very exciting! ♥
In the meantime, I hope you like this challenge! ~☆~

London ’17, Day 3 – TPC Dream Masquerade Carnival Tea Party

On Sunday August 27th the Dream Masquerade Carnival Tea Party took place in 1 Whitehall Place. Although the main event had taken up a lot of energy, I was still quite excited for the Tea Party. My parents and I had breakfast together and after that, my dad went to explore for a bit while I got dressed and my mom kept me company (and helped me a bit too).
I had planned on a fairly simple outfit, combining my beautiful Fantasic Dolly dress with a black, off-shoulder blouse, pink socks and black shoes. I had tried out a simple updo with flowers for my hair to combine it with, however I changed my mind. My new Triple Fortune hat matched my Tea Party outfit so well that I decided to wear that instead! I rarely change my outfit plans to accommodate a new purchase, so this was quite a big deal for me! I played around with hairstyles for a bit, but eventually settled on a side pony tail that I could rest the hat on.
My dad returned and the three of us left the hotel. This time we did take the bus, which was incredibly nice, because we could sit at the top of the bus, so we had a lovely view. The bus stopped at Leicester Square, from where we could walk to the venue in about 10 minutes. But since we had time left, we first took some pictures of my outfit. My mom took some really beautiful ones in the shade of the great, stone lions in the middle of the square. After that, we started walking in the direction of the venue. When we entered a side street with lots of trees, it was my dad(!) who suggested to take pictures here because the light was just so beautiful! That really melted my heart. ♥
So this was my outfit! I really hope you like it. ^^

♥ Triple Fantasic Fortune ♥

We walked on to the venue while continuously taking pictures. My mom actually took some really nice ones of me and my dad while reading a city map. It’s nice to have my dad appear on my blog after so long again!

With Dad
I love this picture so much! And with those red buses it just screams ‘London’!

We soon arrived at the venue, where some people were already waiting. I said goodbye to my parents and joined my friends. Everyone looked as lovely as the day before! I was surrounded by the most varying outfits.

Not long after, we were allowed inside. We were led to a big room downstairs, which was apparently a waiting room. More and more people joined us and it became quite stuffy. We waited for a long time, even past the start of the Tea Party time. As soon as there seemed to be movement, everyone ran for the door, which was not the best idea. x) I hung on to a friend and luckily managed to get out of the waiting room pretty quickly, after which I could have my ticket checked and follow everyone to the Tea Party room.

The Tea Party room was very beautiful. It reminded me a bit of the grand hall of a medieval castle: lots of brown and other wood colours, which big chandeliers and tapestries on the walls. There were countless tables everywhere and I ended up on one of the middle tables with an incredible group of girls, next to Emilie and dear Charlie! I was so happy to sit with some new people and people I already knew. Everyone was just so sweet! ♥

All the tables were filled with goodies for the guests. I have to admit it was a bit unclear to me what exactly everyone got, because there seemed to be more items on the table than seats, but everyone surely received an Angelic Pretty fake tattoo sheet, a sticker sheet, a Milkribbon card, a fan and a button (I actually somehow ended up with two). I especially loved the button, since it was from Angelic Pretty and had a London theme. The fans were also a big hit. There were two versions, one of them being dark read and baring the text: ‘I said NO pictures!’

The Angelic Pretty button everyone received. Isn’t it super cute!?

I explored the hall for a bit with Emilie once she arrived. The raffle table was filled with incredible prizes and the special guests were already sitting at the head table.

Raffle Prizes
Checking out the prizes on the raffle table is an important part of a Lolita Tea Party!

Emilie and I managed to quickly get a picture with Maki and Asuka again. Goal achieved early! They both looked so lovely in their own styles! I loved Maki’s classic pink princess look (with a hat, yay) and Asuka in her circus look. Also, apparently Asuka was playing around with a red paper mask she had been wearing or been given all the time, which was just too cute!

Asuka and Maki
Lovely Maki and Asuka. ♥

And we also walked into Babi and Kaie, who were already doing kabedon early! I got one and Emilie did too! Lots of emotions so early and the Tea Party had barely started! Also, the Triple Fortune designers were happy to see I was already wearing my hat, yay! While writing this I keep thinking… Should I post this picture too? Can my readers handle it..? Well, let’s just do it! 8D

Kabedon Double
I couldn’t choose, so… both! Either way, as you can see I was enjoying it haha!

Everyone seemed to have arrived and the food was being served, so we sat down at our table. I Just as we wanted to start eating, the staff suggested we take the group picture early, so there wouldn’t be a hassle at the end of the Tea Party! It was an interesting choice and some people didn’t really want to get up from their table, but most (including me) did. We all walked back to the grand stair case and posed for a while, trying to all get together as closely as possible. I ended up not being in the frame after all though, oh well. XD

We returned to the main hall and sat back down. The food was so amazing! There were finger sandwiches, scones with jam and clotted cream and pastries. Everything was so good! ♥

Tea Parties are always a lot more relaxed: there is less of a schedule and more time to walk around and chat, which is exactly what we did! At first I took some selfies with people at my table and people visiting my table, like dear Poppy!

Charlie and Poppy
For some reason my camera wouldn’t focus on me,
but I still really like these two pictures! ♥

After we had eaten enough, Emilie and I left the table, walked around a lot and took pictures with people. Everybody looked so beautiful, so many great outfits were worn that day! And it was lovely to chat with more people, like with Marlessa, Rosie and especially with Stephanie. Chances are likely I’ll never see her again, which is a sad thought because she is such a sweetheart! I feel incredibly lucky I got the chance to meet her in person!

Shout out to the group of girls braving the heat and showing up wearing Puppet Circus to create the long-promised Puppet Circus army! I’m glad the photographer got a nice shot of them together. ♥

This post won’t be too long this time, because otherwise I’d only bore you with ‘And then I met so and so, after which I talked to so and so’. Let’s not do that this time. ^^ I talked to a lot of people, let’s just keep it at that. However, naturally a picture with my dear friend and partner in crime cannot be missing! Also, I would like to mention that Emilie looked so beautiful in her Tea Party outfit! It was just so her style, she looked amazing!

With Emilie
Love. ♥

The raffle was announced, so everybody sat down in their seats again. But first, we got a speech. The organisers thanked everyone for coming and reflected a bit on their previous events. They thanked the special guests and we all applauded.
Then, suddenly and right behind me, someone rose to their feet and proposed to their partner! And the answer was yes! Everyone cheered and clapped and it was so beautiful! ♥
Then it was time for the special guests to pick their favourite outfits! This is always quite an exciting moment, because it’s so hard to predict who they will choose! All their choices were quite unexpected (as in; none of the winners wore the designers’ brands exclusively)!

Tea Party Guests
All the special guests together.

Then we got another speech, where we clapped for all the individual organisers. And suddenly, everything turned very emotional, because the organisers announced that this event, their 10th Anniversary Event, would be the Tea Party Club’s last. I wasn’t surprised, but many people were shocked and cried. It was all very emotional. ♥ If you want to see a bit of the speech, please check out my video at the end of this post Then the raffle started! There were many amazing prizes and I ended up winning an adorable pink Swimmer box with my no. 100! But before the organisers would hand it over to me, Michaela requested another fierce fan snap like I had done during the Fashion Fix, so of course I obliged. Everyone cheered, it was so great! ♥ It was a precious and lovely moment! ;___;
Many more lovely prizes were won, including a Mr Yan body pillow, which was met with lots of cheering. XD Also, when Dom won a lovely Angelic Pretty set, this was naturally received with lots of cheering and laughter as well.
The Tea Party was coming to an end, so I went around with my packets of Dutch stroopwafels to give to the organisers and event staff and quickly snuck some more pictures with people. I was very happy I could have a quick picture with Imai Kira and Madame Pretty. Imai Kira used her new fan, it was so cute!

Imai Kira, Madame Pretty

Emilie and I left the main hall and headed for the bathroom, where I got changed back into normal clothes again with her help (the toilets looked very beautiful by the way). Outside, I met with my parents who were sitting at a statue. They chatted a bit with some of my friends, while I quickly took outfit pictures and videos for other people. Then, we said goodbye to everyone and went back to the hotel. We had dinner at a restaurant close to the hotel, which was lovely, and then went to sleep. It had been a very eventful day.

London ’17, Day 2 – TPC Dream Masquerade Carnival Main Event

Finally, my Dream Masquerade Carnival Main Event blogpost! Prepare for a long post, filled with many, many pictures! Although, who am I kidding? I bet you actually came here for the pictures mostly! 8D So let’s just get started!
Saturday August 26th was the day of the Dream Masquerade Carnival main event! I was quite nervous and thought I wouldn't be able to sleep much, but luckily I did! I got up really early to take a shower and let my hair dry. Even though I was only planning to tie my hair in twin tails, my hair needs a lot of time to dry and it's better to let it air dry than blow dry it. I also wanted to do my make up early, since I'm really bad at it.
Around 8 am my parents and I went downstairs to have breakfast. After breakfast I prepared the things I had to take with me and then got dressed, with some help from my parents. Then it was finally time to head to the event venue.
Initially we had planned to take the bus to Trafalgar Square, but we decided on the metro instead after all. We walked to station Pimlico. I drew quite a lot of attention with my outfit, but I got some really lovely comments, so it was ok. ^^
We took two metros to Trafalgar Square. It was still very hot. I was holding my fan and someone commented on how smart that was. x)
We arrived at Trafalgar Square and headed for the event location. My parents suggested I'd buy some food for lunch, so we briefly visited a Prêt a Manger where I got a drink and two granola/popcorn/something bars. Very smart decision, honestly.
We arrived at Pall Mall 116, where a line of people was already waiting to enter.

Event Line
The line of people anxiously waiting to enter.

I spotted a lot of friends already, like Poppy, Alexander, Petra and Ayumi, so I joined some of them. The light was really lovely outside, so we suggested to quickly take some pictures together. Luckily, my mom was willing to take them for us.

Waiting to Enter
With Poppy, Ayumi and Petra (and Alexander lurking behind us, haha)!

My mom was also kind enough to take some outfit pictures of me, which was great, because I still looked nice and fresh! And like I said, the light was really nice!
Since there would be a celebration of 10 years of Angelic Pretty, I wanted to wear an outfit that truly embodied the Angelic Pretty spirit I had fallen in love with when I started Lolita, but I also wanted to be comfortable. I ended up deciding to wear Jewelry Jelly. I had also not long before bought this amazing holo backpack that had fairy wings attached to it! Literally the best bag I have ever owned! Since I would be wearing a colourful outfit, the backpack fit wonderfully with it. I used a lot of accessories in pastel colours and star shapes, so I had a bit of a confusing theme going on. I decided to call it ‘Magical Fairy Girl with a Love for Stars and Jellies’, haha! So this is the outfit I wore. I really hope you like it! ♥

I also took some pictures with Marlessa, who suddenly appeared and looked absolutely stunning as usual! It’s unbelievable how she made such a classic, royal even outfit with an Angelic Pretty dress!

Russian Greatness
I very much like the contrast between Marlessa’s and my outfit here.

After a while, my friend Emilie arrived as well. She was a bit late, since a vital part of her outfit had been missing, but she looked perfect after somehow fixing the problem and we weren't allowed inside yet anyway. I was relieved and happy to see her, as we had planned to spend the day together! ♥
In line I got to meet Stephanie, which was so incredibly nice! I never would have thought it was possible to meet her, since she lives all the way over in Canada! I would have the chance to chat a bit more with her over the weekend, which was just so nice! ♥
Finally, the line started moving and we were allowed inside. At the ticket desk we had our tickets checked and received our tote bags. All silver ticket holders received a gorgeous sky blue tote bag, which made me very happy! It’s such a lovely colour! Emilie and I walked on and put our things down to get a bit more organized: we had a lot to carry and we needed to put on our DMC wristbands. Can you believe we got actual wristbands!? So cool!

Silver Wrist Band
I felt so cool walking around with my silver wristband during the event.

In the meantime I was absolutely amazed by the stunning location already. I had seen pictures and videos of it before, but they couldn’t compare with the real deal. There was a big stair case going both left and right and a gorgeous chandelier hanging above it.

Pall Mall Entrance
A small look into the entrance of the gorgeous event location. Isn’t it impressive?

Coincidentally, I walked into August, who gave me a lovely handmade git because I had helped out with a school assignment (which wasn't that much work for me at all, so kind)!
Then suddenly Maki and Asuka came walking down the stairs! During the Angelic Pretty Tea Party taking pictures with them had been hard and I had only succeeded to get one with Asuka, while Emilie only had one with Maki, so we were determined to get a picture with the two of them! They were kind enough to pose with us in front of the beautiful stairs, they're just so cute! ♥

With Maki and Asuka
I am so, so happy with this picture with Maki and Asuka! I think Asuka’s
smile is especially charming! ♥

Emilie and I walked up the stairs and headed to the first room (yes, there were multiple): the Angelic Pretty room. The Tea Party Club absolutely went out of their way for their 10th anniversary: the Angelic Pretty room had a bar with drinks, the Imai Kira stall, the Angelic Pretty stall, an actual photo booth and a gorgeous back drop with props for pictures. I didn't know where to go first!

Back Drop

Since Maki and Asuka were there, we decided to take some pictures at the back drop too. There were professional photographers walking around, so good pictures were guaranteed!

Asuka left to help at the Angelic Pretty stall, but Maki was still lingering around the back drop, so we got a chance to take pictures with her! I love Maki so much, she’s so cute and kind and she looked adorable in her Halloween Treats outfit!

With Maki
So happy I got to take another picture with Maki! I also really liked the picture Emilie took from the side, so I added that one to the collage as well!
Left picture by Emily Valentine, right picture by Emilie.

We also walked into the lovely Nicole. It was very nice to chat with her a bit.
Emilie and I took a look at the Imai Kira stall, but since she wasn't there herself we decided to come back later. We also browsed the Angelic Pretty stall for a bit.

Angelic Pretty Stall
The Angelic Pretty stall was, as expected, very popular.

Then Emilie and I went into the photo booth! The guy operating it was incredibly nice and was quite impressed by all the amazing outfits walking around. He was so cool! And our pictures came out so cool as well, hehe! You can take a look at the pictures in my haul picture at the end of this post.
We kept an eye on the time, since we had a couple of goals for the day. I was so happy to be walking around with Emilie again: our goals are either similar or we make the other's goals our own and we always take pictures for each other. Emilie wanted to meet Imai Kira, I had a couple of things I wanted to film and so on. I was so happy to walk around with my dear friend again! ♥
It was almost time for the Q&A with Maki and Asuka. I suggested to head for the main room and film the start of the Q&A and then go for a bit of shopping while it was still going on. The hall was absolutely stunning, with turquoise walls, another giant chandelier and beautiful paintings.

Main Room
The main room was just so beautiful! I don’t know which part was my favourite!

Since there weren't that many people around yet, we took some more outfit pictures. Emilie didn’t have any yet and although I did, I posed for some extra pictures as well.

In the Main Room
When your incredibly talented friend takes such nice pictures of you you can’t
help but post both of them!

Slowly, the chairs started filling up and it was time for the Q&A. Michaela and Kira welcomed everyone and soon Maki and Asuka arrived on stage. They introduced themselves and then sat down to answer questions. I filmed a bit and then Emilie and I went on our way.

We returned to the Angelic Pretty room, which was a very good idea since it was really quiet now and Imai Kira was there! Emilie was so happy, it was wonderful to see! She had even brought gifts for Imai Kira: a card, Swiss chocolates and one of her original paintings.
Imai Kira was very happy to receive such wonderful gifts (she almost didn’t believe they were actually for her) and she signed some things for Emilie. They also took a picture together! The classic 'Imai Kira hidden face picture' was quite a hit during this event too.

Imai Kira Pose
This pose became such a classic, I love it! ♥

I took the same picture with Imai Kira as Emilie, because naturally I just had too. I was also very happy that Imai Kira recognized me from Barcelona! In broken Japanese we chatted for a bit, which was lovely because Imai Kira is just really, super nice! Emilie and I both bought some things from her stall too. She had lovely merchandise again and I ended up with some post cards (one signed), sticker sheets, two buttons and something I thought was a clear file but turned out to be one of her sea-themed artworks. I was and still am very happy with my purchases.

Then we browsed the Angelic Pretty stall. Emilie bought a cute Fantasic Dolly pouch, I bought nothing myself.
We then went on to the next rooms. At the bring & buy it was quite busy. There were a lot of items for sale, but I didn't really take a look at them because I didn't want to buy any clothes. Plus the idea of mingling with all those shopping girls seemed a bit unappealing (as in: because it was crowded, I have nothing against shopping girls). Instead I said hi to Alex who was sitting at the remote vending table. I ended up buying a beautiful Madillustration brooch and an adorable Fluffy Tori pin there.
I walked into Stephanie again and also Rosie, who looked so darling and is a darling herself!
We continued to another room, where (among others) Triple Fortune and RoseMarie Seoir were located.

I browsed the RoseMarie Seoir stall first. I was very happy I already owned one of their ‘Lolita’-necklaces, since they didn’t have them anymore at the stall. They had some lovely dresses on display though! Emilie casually browsed them for my video, haha! Ayumi was cute as always and happily waved at my camera for my video as well.

Babi and Kaie of Triple Fortune were also present at their stall. Ah, they're just so cool and kind! I really love them, haha! ♥ Emilie and I took a look at their stall when to my great surprise they still had some hats left! I expected them to be gone after the Gold ticket hour, but there were still some on display. And to my even greater surprise, they had the gorgeous pink Marie Antoinette hat left that I had already seen on pictures and that had stolen my heart. I also really liked another hat lying around, but this one...
Ah it was just so beautiful! ;___;

Triple Fortune Stall
Beautiful items displayed at the Triple Fortune table. You can spot
my dream hat on the right.

Naturally the hat wasn't cheap, but compared to Triple Fortune's bonnet prices it was very acceptable! After some doubting I decided to go for it! I had wanted a fancy pink hat for such a long time and now I found it right in front of me!
However, I couldn't immediately take the hat with me because it would be used in the fashion show first. Babi and Kaie gave me an IOU note (haha) and thanked me kindly for my purchase. It was actually a good thing, because carrying that hat around all day would have been quite a hassle. Emilie by the way bought a set of beautiful flower tights and we got to take pictures with the cool designers.

Babi and Kaie
I love this picture with Babi and Kaie! ♥

We chatted a bit with some people walking around the room as well, which was very nice!
Then it was time for the fashion shows! Emilie and I headed for the main room early to get some good seats to film and photograph. We found spots near some Dutch Lolitas. It was nice to chat for a bit. It was still lunch break, so there weren't that many people yet.

Waiting for the Show

Slowly people started coming in and after a while, it was time for the fashion show to start!
Ah, it was so lovely... So many gorgeous outfits were being shown! Indie brands like Peackockalorum, Fidel David, Mossbadger, and Summer Tales Boutique passed us by.

Initially I started only filming the outfits I particularly liked, but after a while I just filmed every single one of them. Also, multiple of my friends modelled!
While I filmed, Emilie sat behind me to take pictures. It was quite challenging, because our view got blocked by someone else filming too, but we managed!
In between shows there was a small break for... cake! We all sang happy birthday for the Tea Party Club and then everyone could stand in line to receive a piece of cake. I ended up not getting any because I wasn't very hungry, but Emilie did and she said it was very delicious!

The beautiful celebration cakes!

I did get the chance to take a picture with absolutely lovely Jelly, who was also wearing Jewelry Jelly! I was so happy to meet her, she’s such a sweetheart!

I am so happy I got to meet this lovely girl! ♥

Then it was time for the brands fashion show. All the models looked so beautiful in their outfits from Triple Fortune, Atelier Pierrot, RoseMarie Seoir and Angelic Pretty (among others). Many brand-new prints were shown and Emilie fell in love with a print called 'Lovely Shopping', which she ended up buying when it came out after the event. I was also happy to see my new hat being featured in a stunning outfit. ♥

Model Risa Nakamura was also featured in the Angelic Pretty part of the fashion show, wearing a beautiful bridal outfit. We didn't see her all day outside of the two fashion shows she was in, which was a little funny somehow.
After the show, a very kind girl came up to me and told me she watches and enjoys me videos! That really made me so happy! I was also asked to be featured in an official DMC video by showing off my bag and looking over my shoulder, which was fun to do!
Emilie and I went to pick up my hat and then headed to the last room we hadn't been to yet, where we found Katie and the Summer Tales Boutique stall. I also walked into Shalisa from Sugar Trampoline, who has been reading my blog for years and always comments so faithfully. I was beyond happy to meet her! Thank you so much for your never-ending kindness, dear!

With Friend Two
I was beyond excited to take a picture with lovely Shalisa, who is an absolute darling!

After some looking around, Emilie and I walked back into the hallway with the big staircase again, where Poppy and other friends were having their pictures taken by a photographer, so we joined them. We all matched each other in our own way, which was very nice!

I’m very happy I got to take a picture with this bunch of amazing girls!

Emilie and I headed back to the main hall. I was participating in an event that took place there, but we were a little early. Luckily, we walked into Stephanie! We got a chance to chat and take pictures of and with each other, which was such a precious moment. I felt so happy! ♥

With My Idol
My younger Lolita self was screaming at this point! I am so happy
I got the chance to meet Stephanie!

Then I was called to the front to prepare for the event I was taking part in: the Fashion Fix. In this game, two of the staff played hosts (in this case Michaela and Kyra) and they would have to guess which item in every participant's outfit was the oldest. The participants would first strut the runway in duos or in triplets and then the hosts would start their guessing. I was paired up with a lovely girl who looked absolutely stunning in Cinema Doll.
The Fashion Fix is apparently famous for being... a bit over the top, so I asked my partner how far she would be willing to go. I had picked a really fun song (if I may say so) and luckily my partner was totally into it.
The main hall filled up with a lot more people than I expected (oh no, haha) and soon the game started. Kyra and Michaela were joined by none other than Babi and Kaie as second judges! Whoa, that was... a little overwhelming. x)
The atmosphere was made when the first two girls walked out on RuPaul music and the audience went wild, which strengthened me a bit. Then, I think it was our turn, so my partner and I jumped onto the stage and started doing our routine to 'A quoi tu danses?' from the musical '1789: Les Amants de la Bastille'. Boy, did I display some Most Embarrassing Behaviour! I may look like a Sweet Lolita, but I did not behave sweetly on the runway. I had brought a fan with me and I smacked it open loudly, blowing kisses seductively at the audience left and right. Or at least I tried, haha! It was such a rush and the audience screamed loudly, which was just the best thing ever! I had so much fun! And Emilie was kind enough to film it, so I will forever be able to rewatch my shameful moment. 8D

This picture was taken right after our shameful display.
You can still see it lurking in my mischievous smile. 8D

Afterwards, my partner and I stood on the stage and the judges started their guessing. In the end, my outfit happened to have the oldest item: a Baby, the Stars Shine Bright music note necklace from 2007!
The other participants also went wild, it was just fantastic! And, as a reward for our "hard" work, we all got kabedon from Babi and Kaie! Aaah, I am still internally screaming! It was so great, so hot! I tried to keep my calm but oh my God~! And again, Emilie filmed it thankfully, so... do check out the video at the end of this post! But to give you an idea:

No comment. Sometimes a picture says more than a thousand words, hehe!

After I had somehow recovered from that kabedon, it was time for the 10 Years of Lolita-fashion show. In this show, one Angelic Pretty dress from every year was shown. The models looked absolutely wonderful and it was the second opportunity to see Risa Nakamura again (who looked stunning in her dress by the way).

10 Years of Lolita Fashion Show
Although the 10 Years of Lolita-fashion show didn’t last very long, I enjoyed it a lot anyway.

Then it was time for the raffle. Emilie and I were both not feeling very well, so I asked Poppy whether she would be willing to take care of my raffle ticket while I went to rest a bit for a while. She was kind enough to say yes (thank you so much, dear) and I walked around for a bit while it was nice and quiet. This resulted in me leaving the Summer Tales Boutique stall with a new and absolutely adorable Pomeranian plushie to add to my family of two!
In the end I actually won something in the raffle, by the way! A little, cute brooch.
Then it was time for the group picture, which is always a hassle but in my opinion worth it. The photographers really did their utmost best and I was happy to be fairly at the front!

The event started to come at an end. It ended later than planned, which stressed me out a bit because I would meet some friends who weren't attending afterwards. Emilie and I ran into the toilets and she helped me get out of my clothes and into normal ones (which I really, really appreciated)! I didn't really mention it, but it was quite a warm day and heat freaks me out, so I was grateful to get out of my layers of clothes. We went outside, said goodbye to everyone we passed and I met up with Pippa and her friends. I was so happy to see her again! With a small group of girls we went to a restaurant literally around the corner, where we had nice food and good conversations.
Finally, my parents picked me up and we headed back for the hotel. It had been an amazing day, filled with many emotions. Thank you to the Tea Party Club for your amazing work and thank you to my friends, especially to Emilie, who made this day so much extra special! ♥
